It is with privilege that we announce the I International CAPES Print Symposium in Neurosciences and III Simpósio Luso-Brasileiro de Neurociências under the CAPES Print sponsorship, whose main objective is to foster the scientific partnerships with neuroscientists in postgraduate programs and institutes/centers in Neuroscience in Brazil-Portugal and with the participation of renowned neuroscientists from the Federal University of Ceara (UFC) CAPES Print Network. CAPES Print is an Internationalization Program funded by the Brazilian funding agency CAPES, the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. The UFC CAPES Print program aims to build and consolidate strategic internationalization agenda in translational neuroscience. This program has been contributing to international insertion and academic development in all dimensions in our PhD programs based on the School of Medicine, at the Federal University of Ceara (UFC). The main goal of this Symposium is to up leverage the translational neuroscience forum by strengthening, integrating and bringing together a network of international researchers and scholars in key neuroscience topics, including neuroimmunology, neuroimaging, neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases, sleep disorders, stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. In addition, this forum welcomes the discussion of basic concepts in neurogenesis and neuroinflammation.
This on-line symposium will foster the academic debate on topics of high relevance in translational neuroscience, benefiting undergraduate and postgraduate programs from the UFC biomedical courses, other Brazilian higher education institutions and overseas. Finally, we hope that our symposium will open new international collaborative partnerships and inspire young scientists into the exciting and rapidly growing neuroscience research.
